Heidi's Homemade Sewing Designs

*Growing up, Heidi was inspired to begin sewing by her mother and grandmothers. One of Heidi's grandmothers (Oma) sewed precious gifts for their family during childhood and taught her the basics of sewing (soon to be knitting and crocheting), and the other one of Heidi's grandmothers (grandma) sewed a home made pattern dress with her when she was just a little girl. When Heidi first started off sewing, she couldn't help but notice the beauty in ripped or scrapped materials that others might have deemed as "useless". If we can see the beauty in the brokeness of mere materials, imagine how much more God can see the beauty in the brokenness of our hearts as humans! Broken does not mean less valuable... anything or anyone broken just needs some extra loving care, and someone to care enough to help re-discover their worth. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Heidi's first project was turning ripped full length jeans into capri jeans, and soon after, using jean bits to make a pair of jean overalls for her grandmother's doll. Soon, Heidi began to make help sew missing buttons, hem clothing, sew patches and more. Heidi was inspired to create and hand-sew home made designs (such as special keepsake themed pillows as gifts), and then continued on to hand-sew home made a few clothing costume & designs. For requests & and rates, email: heidireinhofer@gmail.com or call 708 897 2017. Thank you and Heidi looks forward to (hopefully) helping you bring your creative sewing ideas to life!
